More old jawns while we slack

One of my favorite web videos.  A bunch of the skate park clips we got from 2011-2012.  Featuring a bunch of the guys.  Click play and enjoy this crap.

Gettings sent me a bunch of clips one day and asked me to edit them for him.  He just said "use a good song"  Gettings and Led Zeppelin go hand in hand, but not literally....

Good ol' Mullica skate park.  I miss it every day.  If you got a free minute, click on the link that says "The Enemy" and let them know how big of a mistake it was to take away our park.

Howdy Ya'll

I feel like every time I post on here I start off with saying “Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here” but here we go…
WOW It’s been a long time since I’ve posted on here.  So much has happened since the last update so here’s whats happened in a nut shell.

About two weeks before the deadline for filming, I took a pretty serious crash in Vineland.  Ending my video part and making filming everybody else extremely difficult.  Still everybody was able to more or less fill out an entire part and I was stoked on that.

I had to hook up with Bob Williams of 40z fame to capture all the tapes from the VX since my computer, was just not cooperating.  Huge thanks to him because the video flat out wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for that.

Editing took about two weeks of 7 or 8 hour sessions per day.  Needless to say I was fried, but it’s a labor of love!  Josh’s was the last part to be finished two nights before the premiere…

The Premiere was really fun, we had a bunch of grind boxes and rails out front of Josh’s house.  Pretty sure Bob has some footage of all of that and if it ever comes up online I’ll be sure to throw that on here.  We had a pretty good turnout of friends old and new alike.  Pizza and beer were consumed and good times were had in Josh’s Garage.  If you missed it, you can get a copy of the video off of me just get a hold of me on facebook and we’ll work  out the details.

Bringing us to where we are now..Winter…

There have been a couple indoor sessions while a bunch of the guys are home from college for Winter break.  Some Clips have been clocked, not exactly sure what will become of them but hey, why not?  I’m hoping to get my computer working with the VX so it won’t be such a pain in the ass to capture everything.  Piney BMX is NOT dead; we’re just between projects for now.  Be on the lookout for some web content in the near future but until then keep on shredding.

Mike Ware Bike Check Vid

Went to Upper with Matt and Tom a couple times and got these clips.  Also couldn't remember the parts on my bike so I had to write them down and read out of a book.

NOTE:  The first crash was the stupidest thing to ever happen to me on a bicycle!  Rode straight through a puddle before hitting the lip, total bonehead move!

A Day in Nesco

Remember when I said I was going to try to have new content at least every two weeks?  LOL @ THAT!

Here's a little joint I threw together featuring Josh Vodopija, Billy Brown, Brandon Ford, Luke Gajtkowski, and myself riding around Nesco. Song is Stay with me by The Faces.

Josh is so good considering he rides 3 times a year!

Mullica Jam 33 and 1/3

Half the kids going to this event won't understand the flyer for it but whatever.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! What's the difference between Jelly and Jam? You can't go to the Mullica Jelly LOLZ! Going down April 27th 12:00pm at the Mullica Twp Recreation Fields. You know...where the Mullica skate park used to be before Gadfly tore it down. We'll have a bunch of ramps out there for your enjoyment, a grill to fire up some dogs n burgz, and zillions of dollars worth of prizes.

  The Way She Goes
1.) Keep it civil.  We're not on private property and can get shut down at any time.  No boozin.  No tokin up on your reefer cigarettes.  No nothin'!  Don't give the police any reason to be a cloud on our sunny day.  They've been cool about it for the past couple of years, hopefully we can keep it that way.

2.) Save the Drama For Your Mama.  Leave all beefs outside the gate.  Shit talking is fine, as long as it doesn't turn into any physical fisticuffs.  If anything like that happens, you'll be asked to leave which is embarrassing for everybody...Don't be that guy.

3.) Be courteous to your other riders.  I understand how exciting it is to ride at the biggest contest of the year and you're going to want to impress all the sponsors but keep the snaking to a minimum.  It's going to happen.  It's inevitable.  Again...Don't be that guy..

$$$
Things cost money.  Once we break even everything else goes to the Gary D memorial fund

Burgz -$2
Weens-$1
Waters & Sodas-$1
T-shirts and Tank Tops-$10

There will also be a donation jar for the Gary D memorial fund.

Final Word
South Jersey still has a strong riding scene and here's a chance to see everybody together.  Everybody is always so busy either with school, sports, work or just life in general this is a chance for one day to forget about it and have some fun.  So grab your bike, grab your board, grab a few friends and come out to the Mullica Jam.

Piney BMX does Woodward

Back Flips Nigga!

Aside from that a bunch of other cool shit happened!

Billy Brown, Shaggy, Josh Vodopija, Tom Nguyen, Sean Guest and I made the loooooong drive over to Woodward, PA to meet up with Paul Jaskulski and Lehran B^%&(_.  Sorry dude can't remember you're last name :/.

Instead of doing a big write up about it that nobody is going to read I figured I'd throw a link to Shaggy's Flickr page.  Check out these pictures, they sum up the trip perfectly!

or you can go here and see what else is going through Allan Barnes' mind

All in all this is how the trip went

Latest and greatest

Here are some clips that I randomly started throwing together last night.  Two sessions, one from Upper and another from WLP where the camera had 8 minutes of battery left.  Paul Jaskulski does some impressive maneuvers in this one so make sure you give it a watch!

Piney BMX 2013 from Piney BMX Apparel on Vimeo.

On another note!

I just got a new camera!  The rest of the DVD will be completely filmed on my VX.  But I wont retire the good ol' handy cam just yet.  She'll still be used for second angles and whatnot but be ready for the one of a kind look and feel of the VX.  I personally prefer it to the HD just because im a simpleeeeeeee kiiiiiind of maaaan and I dont feel like dealing with all the bullshit that comes with HD cameras.

Hopefully I'll have some test footage up online as soon as this fire wire comes in from ebay and we'll be completely in business.

P.S only 293 more days until the Video is finished.
Thats 7040 hours!
422393 minutes!
25343543 seconds!!!!!
So get shreddin!

So much

Bunch of big stuff going on at Piney BMX HQ so I havent had time to really update the ol' blogspot.  So here are 3 videos you should watch while waiting for an "exciting" read coming in a few days.

First is a video from Rick Whitehead and his band Chingada.  Features a bunch of cool riding and the music is on point.

Next is a short vid featuring our buddy Paul Jaskulski riding Williamstown.  Definitely the most tricks you'll ever see in a Piney video so click play and enjoy!

Paul Jaskulski at Williamstown from Piney BMX Apparel on Vimeo.

Finally a little Scrap clip part of my own.  Just a bunch of clips that won't wind up fitting into my DVD part.  Still kinda cool I think.

Winter Gear

I posted on my facebook earlier that I'll be putting work into some winter clothing this weekend.  Since money is tight it's going to be more of an order and I'll make it type of thing.  Gear will have the "bigfoot" design on the front.  So go here and leave a comment letting me know what size and color you would like and I'll make it happen.  Pull over hoodies will be $20, Crew neck sweatshirts $15, Long sleeve shirts $10.  I also have a few zip up hoodies from last year available for $20 just because I want to get rid of them.

While you're on facebook go like the Piney BMX apparel page.  Support your scene!

Post Cards Don't Fit In The Computer

Mountains, different coasts, pretty girls, indian ghosts, broken pedals, raving lunatics, walmart parking lots, amazing skate parks, border patrols, wild animals, southern accents, lots of driving. It will be 6 weeks on the road this Sunday, with possibly up to three more weeks to go, but probably more accurately whenever I get sick of sleeping in the narrow cab of my truck, which is already.
Heading into Oklahoma city today, the stomping grounds of Mat Hoffman, who almost everybody can agree is one of the sickest riders ever (except Luke, who is just a little confused). Among other things he has invented probably half the tricks that people do (and also some that nobody else will ever do), having his own video game, keeping bike riding in the x games, owning his own bike company and in so many other ways revolutionizing bmx riding on on and off his bike. However what I remember most was him pulling a no handed 900 in the 2002 x games(the first one anybody did). This was about the same time I was finding out what bmx was and probably one of the first times I saw somebody do something on a bicycle and had my mind blown. You could say it was one of the pivotal moments of my interests in getting into riding.
Well here I am 10 years later, not as an accomplished rider by any means but still doing the one thing I've probably enjoyed doing and being a part of more then any other thing Ive done before or since. So it makes an interesting coincidence to be in the midst of a trip where riding has been one of the focuses, in a city (and several other ones along the way) where riding has been pushed tremendously in many parts to becoming what it is today. This has been an interesting trip so far, just as all of this bike riding, and life in general has been. All of those things in their own respect have been some kind of wild ride and I will continue to enjoy each for as long as time allows. Catch "you's all" on the flip side.

 Mad niceee^

Deadline

and I'm not talkin about Garret Reynolds. The Deadline for the DVD is going to be October 31, 2013. Talked it over with the other man at the helm and it seems like enough time for anybody tryin to get a full part to stack up clips. AS much as I love filming for a DVD, that shit is hard! Grey hairs will be sproutin out of my head by September 2013 I'm sure. So hey, do me a favor and just fire out 3 minutes worth of bangers everybody. It can't be that hard!
